Train the Mental Side of your Game
I work with athletes and teams, from middle school through the pros, on the mental skills that let them play up to what they're capable of. Those skills don't leave when the season does. They carry into school, work, and life after sports.

Why me?
Most families try three things before they call me, and all three make sense. Toughing it out is free and sometimes it works, but the slump an athlete can think their way out of is not the one that brings people here. Mentality clips online are good for about a day, and nobody in them is watching your kid play or building anything around their sport, their position, or where they are in the season. A therapist is the right call when what is going on is anxiety, depression, or anything clinical, and I will tell you when I think that is the case and help you find someone.
What I do sits apart from those three. It is certified, it is built around this athlete's actual season and the position they play, and it gets trained the way you train a jump shot. It also takes reps. Nothing changes from one session.
01 I coached before I studied this.
High school, 5-star recruits, college players and pros. I have been on the sideline and in the gym, so when an athlete tells me what happened in the fourth quarter, I already know the situation they are describing.
03 You get it in writing
A written plan after every session, so the athlete knows what to practice and the parents know what we are working on.
02 I come watch
Every package includes observations at a game or a practice. You cannot coach the mental side off a description alone, and a lot of people in this field never leave the office.
04 CMPC
The certification in this field, through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. It takes a graduate degree, hundreds of mentored hours with athletes and an exam. Not everyone offering this work has it.
Fifteen minutes will tell you if this is worth doing.
Tell me what's going on. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help, what it would look like, and what it costs. If it's not a fit, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
FAQ
-
No. This is performance coaching — training mental skills the way you'd train a jump shot. It isn't clinical mental health treatment. If something comes up that belongs with a licensed therapist, I'll say so and help you find one.
-
Middle school through pro. Basketball is my deepest background, but the skills travel — I've worked with soccer, tennis, track and golf athletes.
-
Both. In person around the Peninsula and South Bay; online anywhere.
-
Most athletes notice one concrete change in the first three or four sessions — usually the reset after mistakes, because it's the most rehearsable. Deeper stuff takes a season.
-
Yes, at the right level. Parents get the written plan and a check-in, and the athlete gets a session that's theirs. For minors I set that boundary clearly up front.
-
Twenty-four hours' notice and the session goes back in your account. Games get moved — I know.
-
No. This is coaching, not a billable clinical service.
